In the article Colorado State University's Writing Guide, it is said "Remember: Analyze your audience BEFORE you start writing, so you'll know what format, style, vocabulary, or level of information is expected." So, I know how important it is that I analyze my college teacher that is the primary audience for my academic paper before I begin writing. The Colorado State University's Writing guide informs us that "Once they know who their audience is, they can mold their advertising--their words, format, graphics, images--to appeal to that specific audience." Knowing that my primary audience is my English college teacher I know exactly who is going to be reading the academic paper. I know that they work in the profession, specifically already knowing how one should write for an audience properly. Therefore, they would hold higher educational standards to be expected when the academic paper is presented to them. I know that I would need to use formal proper words and format. Rather than laid back setting and informal/slang language. Applying information that can be relatable, valid, and valuable to them is an important part of forming the academic paper as well as keeping your audience intrigued with reading your paper. Knowing who they are and appealing to my English college teacher as my audience with the standards they expect should be my number one priority.
You put it all in excellent words! Focusing on a teacher is pretty straightforward, at least! Much easier to present information to someone who already knows the basics than someone who you have to start from scratch on.
